Painting From London to Paris

What a magical experience to be able to travel to paint!

With my sketchbook and gouache paints as my constant companion, I wandered through London painting gardens, sketching in museums, and loving meeting new people along the way

There are two great highlights of traveling as an artist:

1) Becoming immersed in a new place through prolonged and careful observance through painting

2) Meeting new people who will approach me as I paint to talk and ask questions. In every place I have visited there will always be a few people who bravely initiate a conversation, and I am always thankful for their warmth and friendliness.

I was so happy to meet up with artist friends Ruth Fitton and Phoebe Stewart Carter while I was there as well! Ruth generously showed me her beautiful new studio space, and I was able to meet Phoebe at the Royal Portrait Society opening at Mall Galleries and see her beautiful art.

I was so happy to be able to visit Cambridge, Brighton, and Paris as well! Each held it's own unique beauty and charm. My only regret was not having more time in each place!
